Magnets with Glass Tiles and CTMH Papers

I was inspired to create magnets this weekend.  I had purchased some 1″ square glass tiles to make pendants and had made one magnet.  I decided to make a whole set using the Close to my Heart papers in the current Idea Book (see the book at my online  CTMH store).  I cut the papers with a 1″ square punch.  I sealed the papers with “Judikins Microglaze” to prevent the colors from bleeding when the wet glue is applied.  I used Liquid Glass (CTMH) and applied it to the glass tile.  I then pressed on the paper and pushed down on the table to get out any air.  After that dried, I applied the microglaze to the back and then covered the back with Liquid Glass.  You don’t have to do this step but it makes the back look finished.  Let that dry for several hours until dry to the touch.  I then used E6000 glue to apply the magnets.  Let it dry and you have a magnet to decorate your fridge or bulletin board. I was short a tile, but the magnet board had two circles magnets and I covered those with paper too.

I had purchased a dry erase magnet easel.  It is a great way to display the magnets.

I had to order more glass tiles for more fun projects and can’t wait to see what inspires me next.  If you want to purchase Close to my Heart paper crafting supplies and tools, click on this link to go to my online store at http://cydneyfowlercreations.ctmh.com
