I am no longer with Close to my Heart. However, I am still an avid crafter and fused glass artist. I moved cross country from California to Arkansas to be near children and grandchildren. It has been a long road to getting settled in our house on five acres in Paragould. I didn’t have room for all my household items much less my glass studio and crafting supplies. We ended up finishing a cabin barn for our library and my craft room. Once we got a lot unpacked I was able to access an existing metal building for my glass studio. There is still work to do to finish organizing and decorating but I am now to the point I can get back to my art work. I rent space in a local shop, The Twisted Peacock, to sell my items. We are loving our country home and settling in finally. I look forward to sharing my arts and crafts journey here.
Hey Cydney! I think of you often especially when I wear your beautiful pieces! I will be retiring Sept 1st of this year. It was unexpected but I am grateful to have the time to take better care of my health. Amber is well. She is currently performing in a local play, then plans on a road trip around the US. Then working at the local slopes, then she is hoping to work/live in New Zealand for a year. So glad to hear that you will be starting back up crafting. Love your work. I hope to get my home organized and look forward to getting more crafty myself. Wish you and Bill all the best!
Congratulations on your upcoming retirement! You will love it – I sure do. Sounds like Amber is planning some great adventures. Bob and I are doing well, thanks. Bob’s son lived in Australia for a year and loved it for the most part. He had a sales type job and it was hard being a foreigner in a company with locals he was competing with, but he really liked the country in general. I am glad you are still enjoying your glass pieces.
